Finery London have teamed up with the iconic Pineapple Dance studios to produce a collaborative SS17 capsule collection.
The collection consists of 8 styles that have been co-designed between Finery and Debbie Moore OBE (the founder of Pineapple). The collection will launch exclusively in Selfridges in February.
For those of you who don't already know, Pineapple Dance studios was founded in 1979 in a disused pineapple canning factory in Covent Garden, central London. Debbie Moore is thought to have revolutionised the way women dress for dance, being the first designer to use cotton/lycra with DuPoint. Pineapple created a confident and figure defining way of dressing for women, which enhanced its wearability - making it acceptable to wear your leatard with your jeans.
The collection is inspired by peices from Pineapple archive, including leotards, the ballet wrap, the dancers sweat, the slip dress and the legging, reflecting the brands heritage through the use of the muted colour pallet, yet modernised to the clean Finery aesthetic. All of the fabrics used throughout the collection are soft and luxurious, making the collection a great option for those seeking dance wear or just something to feel comfortable in.
Our Flybery Women Phoebe of Wood and Luxe, attended the launch of the collection last week at Pineapple Dance Studios for a retro style dance class whilst testing out the new kit.
